We provide financial support for school essentials to families who work, or recently worked, in the UK fashion and textile industry.

Who can apply

To apply for a grant, you must:

• Be the parent or carer of a child aged 0–18
• Be facing financial difficulties.  Jump to this section for more details
• Meet our fashion and textile employment criteria - detailed in the next section

Employment criteria

We are a trade charity that helps parents and carers who currently work or used to work for UK fashion and textile employers.

This includes high-street clothing shops, textile companies and manufacturers, laundries and laundrettes, logistics for clothing companies and more. Check if your employer is eligible here.

If you work or used to work for an eligible fashion or textile employer, here's what you'll need to apply:  

If you have never worked for a UK fashion or textile company, we may not be able to help. Here are a few options you could try instead: 

• See which other charities might be able to help your family. 
• Find a school uniform bank in your local area.

Your financial situation

We help families who are in financial difficulty and who are unable to afford the things their children need. This might be because of a sudden change in circumstances at home or more long-term financial challenges.

During application you will be asked to provide a recent bank statement, to show household income and expenditure, as well as child benefit and all other benefits your family receive.

All the required documents can be uploaded from a phone or computer, making it easy to complete our application process. 

What we fund

We fund everything children need for nursery, school and college, including: 

• School Uniform 
• PE Kit
• Footwear
• General clothing 
• Study Essentials (e.g. schoolbag, stationery, books, etc)
• Course equipment (e.g to support vocational courses)
• Laptop for homework (if they are in secondary education and have no access to a home computer)
• Specialist educational tools: If your child has additional educational needs and could benefit from specialist educational tools we can support with this too.  Find out more about specialist education support.
