If you are a parent or carer who works, or has previously worked in the UK fashion and textile industry, you might be able to apply to our charity for a grant. Please read on for more information. Our trade criteria To apply for a grant, you must: Be the parent or carer of a child aged 0–18 Meet FTCT's financial hardship criteria — use this section for more details Meet the employment criteria below Employment criteria If you are currently working in the fashion and textile industry, you need at least 6 months of employment. This can be with your current employer, or combined with previous fashion and textile roles (within the last 9 years). If you are not currently working in the fashion and textile industry, you must have worked in it for at least 12 months within the last 9 years. Parents and carers who are self-employed in the industry must show at least 12 months income (through tax returns or prepared accounts) from within the last 9 years. More guidance can be found here.
