As the new school year approaches, many children look forward to a fresh start. But for families living in financial hardship, the return to school brings added stress and tough choices, uniform or bills, bus fares or food.

At the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust, our Back to School Campaign is raising vital funds to provide school uniform grants and education essentials to children growing up in financial hardship across the UK. We’re calling on our supporters old and new to donate and support disadvantaged children in the UK and ease the back-to-school worry at this critical time of the year. 

Why your support matters

For many families, back-to-school expenses like uniforms, P.E kits, bus fares and tech for homework are simply unaffordable. This can lead to children being sent home from school for having the wrong uniform, having to stay home because they can’t afford to the bus, or falling behind because they don’t have a device to do their homework. 

Our charity works all year round to offer targeted help. As a charity for disadvantaged families in the UK fashion and textile industry, we provide grants to ensure children are not held back by their circumstances. But we can't do it without you.
