The government has recently launched a free breakfast club trial in 750 primary schools across England, aiming to support working parents and ensure children start their day with a nutritious meal. These clubs offer a healthy breakfast and 30 minutes of supervised care before the school day begins, providing families with valuable extra time in the morning.

At FTCT, we know how challenging it can be for families to balance work and childcare. Our recent survey revealed that the cost of school meals and extra-curricular childcare is a growing concern for parents working in fashion and textiles. That's why we welcome this initiative and the positive impact it could have.

For many parents, having an extra half an hour in the morning to commute or prepare for the day can ease daily pressures. Knowing their child is starting the day well-fed and in a safe environment brings peace of mind.
