Ask for help 

Seeking help may sound daunting, but in many cases, parents wish they had done it sooner. There are lots of charities and organisations across the UK who help parents and families. Check the list of resources below, to see if any of the organisations we mention, could help you.

Grants for individual and families: 

  • Turn 2 Us is an online search portal where you can search for charities who may be able to help you depending on your circumstances. 
  • BBC Children in Need is another grants options for families.
  • Family Action offer wellbeing grants for families 
Work in fashion or textiles? Our grants offer support for families with children aged 0-18 years, to fund practical everyday items like, children's beds, essential appliances and children's clothing. Find out more about our criteria. 

Mental Health Support for parents:

  • Young Minds offer a parent support line, which allows you to discuss your child's or your own mental health concerns. 
  • Mind have lots of resources on their website, to help parents with a new or existing mental health condition, cope with the ups and downs of parenting.

Financial Wellbeing Support:

  • The Money Charity has a brilliant online budget planner tool. It's free to use and can make budget planning much less dauting. 
  • Stepchange offer expert, tailored advice and practical solutions to problem debt.  You can get advice online or over the phone. 

With the burden of financial worries lifted, parents can breathe easier and focus more on caring for their families.
