Explore eligible companies To apply for a grant, you must be a parent or carer who has worked for an eligible UK fashion and textile employer for 1+ years within the last nine years. Click here to check if you can apply. This includes companies working with clothing, footwear, soft furnishings or fabrics. For example: High street clothes shops, e.g. River Island, M&S, John Lewis, etc. Textile companies and manufacturers Laundries and laundrettes Logistic companies for clothing brands Soft furnishing companies Self employed people can also applyCheck if your employer is eligible What we fund Our grants fund items which are essential for children's health and wellbeing. These might be items you were planning to buy, but now can't due to lost income These might include: Essential clothing, e.g. seasonal clothing and school uniform and PE kit Baby essentials, e.g. clothing or equipment Children's bedroom furniture, e.g. beds, bedding, clothes storage furniture (chest of drawers) Essential White Goods, e.g. replacing a broken appliance such as fridge/freezer, washing machine, cooker/oven. Specialist items for children with additional needs, e.g. sensory toys, adaptive clothing or SEN adapted computers All items will be considered at the discretion of the grants team. What we can't fund We're sorry but we can't fund household bills, food costs or replace lost income. Iowever, by funding the other essential items your children need, we hope to free up money during this difficult time and give you one less thing to worry about. No. Many families applying to us also receive Universal Credit and their grant payment do not affect this or any of their other means tested benefits. What can FTCT grants pay for? We can fund essential items like mobility equipment, physiotherapies, sensory items and more. Do I have to pay the grant back? No. FTCT grants do not need to be repaid. Are Redundancy Grants capped? Yes. We have capped amounts for all the items we fund. How quickly can I get help? Our current turnaround time for a grant is 4 weeks, once all forms and documents have been received.
